Summary
A leading UAE charity needed a modern digital platform to run its fundraising, from everyday donations to major seasonal campaigns. Plaxonic designed and built the full platform, web and mobile, with multiple payment methods, live campaign tracking, and Zakat tools. During the most recent Ramadan, the platform helped the charity raise over one million US dollars.
The Challenge
The charity runs a wide range of humanitarian programs, from medical and housing projects to seasonal Ramadan and Eid campaigns, and needed a single digital platform capable of collecting donations at scale, in a way that was trustworthy, easy to use, and available in both Arabic and English.
Peak giving periods like Ramadan put heavy demands on such a system: many concurrent donors, multiple payment methods, and live campaign tracking, all of which have to work flawlessly when it matters most.
What We Built
Plaxonic delivered an end-to-end donation platform across web, iOS, and Android. It supports multiple ways to give: direct online donation, SMS micro-donation, bank transfer, recurring subscriptions, and on-the-ground site representatives.
Donors can browse projects and campaigns with live fundraising progress against targets, create and share their own charity projects, calculate their Zakat with a built-in tool, and manage everything through a secure account with mobile OTP login. The platform is fully bilingual with right-to-left support, and includes a media center for news, images, and events.
Our Approach
We worked to build a platform that a broad public would trust with real donations, prioritizing a clean donor journey, secure and varied payment options, and reliability under the heavy concurrent load of peak giving seasons. The system was built to scale with the charity's campaigns and to give both donors and administrators clear, real-time visibility into fundraising progress.
The Technology
A full web and mobile stack with integrated payment processing across multiple channels, live campaign and donation tracking, secure account management with OTP authentication, and native iOS and Android applications, all engineered for reliability during high-demand periods.
The Result
During the most recent Ramadan, the busiest giving period of the year, the platform helped the charity raise over one million US dollars in donations. The system handled peak demand reliably and now serves as the charity's primary digital fundraising channel across web and mobile.
